Vietnamese turmeric fish with noodles. It is an iconic dish of Hanoi. An entire Hanoi street is dedicated to this one special dish. It dates back more than 130 years ago. It was first invented by the Doan family, who serves the special dish to troops during the French Colonial rule. The dish’s universal appeal has made a namesake in the OLD Quarter a popular stop among the travelers and residents alike. This dish has inspired chefs to create their own version. But as for me, it has bring my back to my child hood memory when I was living in Vietnam. I have learned from my Grand Mother who hometown was in Hanoi
