What is the first sandwich someone learns to make? The humble peanut butter jelly, almost universally beloved by children and adults. For Squarz founder, Steven, PB+J is more than a childhood staple. As a Peace Corps volunteer in South Africa, he enjoyed the sandwich almost everyday for lunch, constantly experimenting with local flavors and ingredients. Steven enjoyed elevating a modest treat into a delightful opportunity to celebrate local culinary traditions and flavors. Never losing his passion for the timeless original, this is his latest experiment: Organic peanut butter, local Arizona prickly pear jam, cream cheese, caramelized apples, and wilted arugula on Squarz’ signature croissant bun for a perfect comforting treat.
